Sure -- a muzzle with some source of pleasant reinforcement on the inside --
a little bit of Linatone, a bar of soap to lick, something else, and a way
for the human to continue giving reinforcement occasionally.

Actually, the best way to eliminate bias is to include information on LIVING
ferrets as well as dead ferrets.  You need the information on living ferrets
to get an accurate measure of mortality rates at each age.
