To the chap with the deaf/blind ferret.
 
Don't put him to sleep. My ferret is also deaf (though, you'd never
guess it). He has a brother that is also deaf AND blind. The ferret
is fine, it was a little difficult to train the blind one to use th e
litter, but he got used to it after. Today he is just like a 'normal'
everyday ferret. Ferrets have fairly poor eyesight anyways, so it won't
make a "great deal" of difference--assuming you plan to keep him indoors.
If he were ever to get out that would probably be the end of him--can't
hear cars/dogs/etc;
