Suprelorin (deslorelin) implants may soon be available in the USA.

Peptech announced today that they are in the process of seeking approval
from the USDA:
http://www.peptech.com/peptech/content/Frame_Def.asp?ID=5
(first PDF "Peptech expands market potential for dog contraception")

Hopefully they will get approval, as the implant lasts longer than
Lupron, and is quite a lot cheaper (although I guess they could up
the price)

I have a copy of the results from one study ("Wagner, R.A., C.A. Piche,
W. Jochle and J.W. Oliver. The treatment of adrenal cortical disease
in ferrets with deslorelin acetate implants") if anyone would like to
read it.

 (:
shona
