I wanted to especially thank everyone who sent very heartfelt messages
about "Mr. Ferret" and the Someone Loved Me For An Hour Post.
As much as it made you all cry and your heart break, we felt that pain
a hundred fold as we held his head and paw, looked into those eyes and
said goodbye.
Many asked more details about him and assumed he was an older ferret
that no one wanted anymore.
I'm sorry to say that he didn't see his third birthday.
He was a younger ferret with a sweet face and the whitest fur I've ever
seen. At his last sigh, despite being so weak he managed to place his
head in a loving hand.
He didn't receive the nourishment nor basic care that he deserved which
is why he is no longer with us. I am picking my words carefully because
for the first time we have made appropriate phone calls and we are
seeking justice for him as well as his little brother and sister.
Despite our shelter funds being at an all time low, (as we recover
from our nine Ohio Ferrets and Oreo LuvU who has three legs and is
improving) we feel it is the least we can do to honor him and others
like him who deserve better than they received in this world.
If you have been so mad you could just spit and so very much wanted "to
do something about it" help us to raise funds to fight for Mr. Ferret
and leave a legacy for his little brother and sister, Sissy and Henry.
We are not asking for hand outs, as every cause is an important one,
instead we have placed many new items on eBay to not only provide for
what is needed to seek justice for Mr. Ferret but to also help his
little brother and sister for what they will need such as a complete
vet examination, documentation and reporting, vaccinations, ADV
testing. We have included pictures of Henry & Sissy on the listings.
Of course no amount of money will replace the love that all of them
should have received all along.
