[Are you really mailing as "cshroot"?  Your mail address isn't cshroot.

wierd.  Maybe your MTA is fouling up the From: line.]
 
The FML postings have been rather sparse lately.  I haven't been hearing
anything about the "Mystery Virus" lately.  Do they know what it is?  Do they
know how it is transmitted.  Do they know it's longevity without a host?  The
last that I heard, this was all speculation or, at best, a SWAG (Scientific
Wild Ass Guess).  What is the latest?
 
For those of you who keep your carpet sharks caged while you are out of the
house, I have found something that keeps my little ones ammused for hours at a
time.  This will probably work best if your cage is at least 6" taller than
your longest ferret can reach.  Hang a couple of pieces of 1/4" braided nylon
rope from the top of the cage, with a large knot at the bottom.  The knots
should be from barely reachable to just out of reach.  All 7 of our carpet
sharks have decided that this is the most fun you can have, without beatting up
on your siblings.  I have watched one of them (more than once) get the knot in
her mouth and shake it for almost 2 minutes and then just hang there so long
that I thought that she may not be able to let go.  But a reach for my
"Going-For-A-Ride Vest" and she let go and ran directly to the cage door (along
with 6 more fuzzies).  Since then, I have wathced them hang from the knots for
as long as 2 minutes, only to start shaking it again, after the rest period.
We call this rest period "Hang Time" (an old hang gliding term).  Ninya holds
the household Hang Time record at more than 2.5 minutes.
