Hey,....The following is just an example of other ways to attack the
McKay situation,.....write the 'animal groups'! That's what they're
there for......

Hello, I currently receive your newsletter, and many others from other
animal cruelty societies. I am also a 'Ferret Rescue' for my local
SPCA. Myself, and approx. 2500 other "Ferret" owners, very "Informed"
and "Experienced" ones, Rescues/Sanctuaries, Shelters, and
Veterinarians have a daily forum delivered to our email boxes called
"The Ferret Mailing List"(FML). It is moderated, not a 'chat' room,
so therefore we are there "For the Ferrets Health & Welfare".

About a week ago, someone brought up an issue with a gentleman in
"Morrow County" in Ohio, who has 1,000-2,000 "Domestic" Ferrets,
(breeding & non-breeding), along with being a "pelter" with "Minks". I
have his name & address, as well as a Representative's name with the
Morrow County Health Dept. The conditions described there were
Horrendous, and unhealthy for the people AND the animals! ALL outside,
w/o adequate shelter, 8 to a cage made for 2, frozen drinking water,
feces up to 4foot high, etc.

The Health Dept. has said except for the 'feces' problem, the Ohio
Humane laws are very lacking in "clout". Is this the case? Can you
direct me to someone in your society, or any other animal welfare
office, that can help with this? More detailed info. can be provided.

Thank You. John Rich...Vineland, N.J. 08360
