I have used the non-alcoholic extract of Milk thistle successfully for my
ferrets (males and females) with liver problems several times in the last
few years .... my vet recommended it originally.  Their dose is 3 drops
twice a day, and I mix it in their duck soup (or Bob C's chicken gravy).
Also, Bogie gets 50 mg of SAM-e every morning (also for his liver, ground
and stirred into his Bob C's) .... Bogie has had chemo for lymphoma,
and both have inoperable adrenal tumors, and both are getting lupron
and propecia, among other things.  So far, both are doing well after
one year .... hope things go well for you and your little girl ....
