You poor thing.  You're not the 1st.  I've had quite a few calls about
*dead* ferrets that remarkably wake up as the panicked words are spoken.  I
was a little better prepared for it my 1st time though - my hubby sleeps the
same way!
 
Some fuzzies just sleep deeper than others.  Nothing to worry about.  Look
really close & you can see them breathing.
