Regina- I experienced a similar incident with my ferrets, Cosmo and Matisse.
I recently broke off my relationship with a boyfriend of 2 1/2 years. The
evening I did it, he dropped me off at my apartment and I was very sad. I
was getting ready for bed and decide to give the boys a cuddle, so I took
each out of their cage to hug them goodnight. I started crying and both of
them seemed to understand because they gave me lots of kisses and cuddled
back (even Cosmo who normally squirms to get down right away.)

Has anyone on the FML experienced something like this? Do y'all think they
really understand when their "parents" are sad?
