Hi,

One thing I line my cages with is the fake lambswool type material. It has
a hefty as heck backing on it and mine rarely even try to get under it let
alone eat it or scratch it etc.... You can cut it to fit just fine and that
is all they should need in the summer time. Also easily washed. Now in
winter you may want to have some blankets or something and I really am
unsure what you should try next. I use pieces of the fake fur material but
I do not know if she would eat that too or not. I guess you can try and
watch her real careful. I use various soft materials, nice fuzzy shirts
(human), baby blankets etc.... Maybe if you tried the fur it would remind
her of herself and other ferrets and she would not eat it like that? Worth
a try anyway. Mine LOVE the fake fur.

Also how about a hefty sleepsack? It would be easy to get inside and you
could easily make one or have a friend make you one. My good friend
Michelle brought me a great gift today. It is a sleep sack measuring 18" by
30"! Yes that is right! She wanted one all 10 of my ferts could get into
if they wanted to. It is made of very heavy denim material with the fake
lambswool inside and she even used the sewing machine to write FANG on it in
big white letters. It is absolutely wonderful. Now her machine is on the
fritz but the moment it comes back she is making one a bit smaller for all
the shelter kids. What a great friend and helper to FANG I have found in
Michelle. Tonite Michelle took home my sweet Rockadoodle and Bobo and tho I
am very happy for them I cried all nite and am still doing it every time I
think of them. It is awfully hard to let these little ones go when they
stay for a very long time. I know they are better off there but it still
hurts a great deal:-(

Hope you figure it all out. Are you disciplining her when she eats this
stuff so she knows it is wrong? This would be VERY important to do. If
I think of anything else I will write again. Good luck! TNT!
