> So, my question is, how safe is it to fly fuzzies thru SLC airport?

While Salt Lake (City and county) is a FFZ, the rest of the state is not,
and there has so far been no trouble flying ferrets into the state. At
this point the county is doing all they can to keep ferrets illegal, but
they are hampered by the fact that they are unable to prosecute anyone
for owning a ferret. - this due to already agreeing to legalize them.

They are stalling as long as they can (nearly a year so far) in writing
the new ordinance, and a court case would likely be the LAST thing they'd
want. I wish I were there to continue working with the county, but
unfortunately I moved to Ca 6 months ago, and nothing has been done since. :(

I hope this answers your question, at least - we have had a number of
ferrets shipped into and through SLC airport with no troubled.
