This is in regards to the earmite question.  The shot you vet gave your
ferret was probably Ivermectin.  I've also found that Mitox with 1cc
ivermectin added and placed in both ears once a week for 4 weeks also
works great.  Maybe even better than just a shot of ivermectin alone.
