This is in answer to the following post I saw:

We just rennovated our ferret room. My husband built a 3 foot platform
along the wall of the ferret room. Our cages (which are 4' and 5' tall)
now sit on this platform. My climbers no longer can climb the cages, and
they have more space in the room because where the cages once sat, they
have that space as additional play space. However, I would like to point
out (if it hasn't already been pointed out) that a good idea would be to
get the little plastic devices that plug into electrical sockets in order
to protect them from possibly coming in contact with open sockets where
you would plug an electrical cord into. And, if you have any electrical
wires on the floor, they should be moved to a position where the ferrets
cannot chew on them.
