Heigh-ho, this is Susie Lee (with Wes) from the Ferret & Dove Sanctuary
in Pensacola.

Yes, we had just one ferret (out of some 200 who have passed through
our doors) who did a little front-feet-stamping when upset, and several
others who just "dance" on their front hands when they're exited and
anticipating some hot-diggity playtime.

For a really great naturistic understanding and behavioral comparison,
the very best is National Geographic's special on the African Mongoose.
They live and move in "troops" and dook and behave so much as though they
are shorter-bodied ferrets it's genuinely amazing. Also there are many
other behavioral traits shown that helped explain much of why many of the
ferrets act out in a similar manner. Very likely you can get a copy from
your local library among the other National Geographic Specials taped
material, because that's where we originally obtained and viewed this
from. (our budget does not include cable TV, and most tapes from the
Library are rent-free, as long as they're not returned too late).

Take care, all. Susie Lee and Wes Hurley of the Ferret & Dove Sanctuary,
Pensacola, Fl.
