Hello FML!
This is a bit of information I would like to pass on to anyone interested.
I wrote in a previous post about our newest Baby "Anastasia Persophne".  She
was purchased from a local superpets store that just opened around the first
of the year in Madison Tennessee.  As some might remember, she introduced a
parasite into the "ferret" apartment.  She had some signs of runs when we
bought herm as did the 14 or so others in the cage at the store.  We guessed
it was because she was recently weaned.  We also guessed that her bottom was
sore from "the runs" and recently having been "descented".  Oh well, I learn
somthing new everyday.  She still has her Anal Glands and at 5 months old we
will soon know if she was really spayed.  I complained originally when all I
got when I bought her for 107.00 (incl Tax) was a receipt.  After finding
her anal glands are still intact My girfriend went back to the superpets and
asked for the breeder.  The name is Glascow Enterprizes, Ltd. in Elk City ,
OK.  According to Superpets, they are a small breeder company of some sort.
This story is still unfolding but, I thought, "Hey someone on the FML might
like to hear about this".  We know possess the "paperwork" we should have
gotten back on Feb 18, 1996 when we bought "Anna".  I find it humorous that
the paperwork expects you to send it back before "30 days since purchase"
expires.  According to the manager of the store, this is the second instance
of something like this happening in their new store.  I wouldn't organize
any kind of boycott of the store or anything, but if they even try to screw
me over, they will wish I never bought anything in their store.  I hope
someone finds this story useful.
