I promise that this will be the last time that I make a double posting in
one day .....

We had a terrible problem happen twice regarding the hammocks that have
FAKE SHEEP FUR sown into them . The company that markets these sows the
liner in with monofiliment fishing line .

The problem is that as the ferrets dig away at the bedding the line
becomes exposed .

Our original ferret Noodles got her leg wrapped up in the line , luckily
I found it before it cut-off the circulation to her hind leg . we
replaced the hammock with a new one and all was fine until Nikita (our
second) pulled the line out and got caught up the same way , we heard her
scream and got over to the cage , I had to cut the line free and we took
her to the vet to get care for a laceration caused by the line . I don't
remember the maker and probably should have wrote it down but this
happened many years back . We don't use hammocks with that liner anymore
but thought it would be best to inform those out there in ferret land
about a hidden danger.
