Okay, the California Quarantine Committee decision has NOT been announced,
yet, so the guy in San Diego was talking through his hat. It may be
announced rather soon, actually, so we'll all know the specifics then.

I already knew that they had copies of ANY data they asked for from
Rupprecht and Briggs, and that Chuck Rupprecht had taken the time to speak
with them multiple times about the research, but last night I also learned
(from Jeanne who is REALLY INCREDIBLY on top on this in CA) that C.R.
actually set aside time in his busy schedule and MET with the committee IN
CALIFORNIA to explain further how thorough the research is and what a firm
foundation the 1998 Compendium of Animal Rabies Control has as its base.
Talk about really kind actions made to help save ferrets -- that one is
right in there!
