To Wayne Rothe concerning cancer in ferrets:

Wayne, this has been a recurrent topic onthe FML. In short, (as we are
trying, it seems to shorten the length of the FML), the nature of ferrets is
to develop three or four types of tumors on a regular basis, and to be
relatively free from infectious disease, etc.

All species have a list of diseases which drop up frequently, and in ferrets,
insulinoma, adrenal disease, and lymphosarcoma are some of the most common.

But one reason that it seen increased in frequency on the FML is due to the
availability of medical information from a number of sources, so questions
pop up frequently, sometimes several to an issue.

Don't be too worried - you should have many neoplasm free years with your pet,
and if you continue to read the FML, when a danger signs shows up - you'll
recognize it and know what to do....
