I need to correct a statement of what I posted earlier. It goes to show you
to never write a letter before having your morning coffee.

When my blood was taken for testing for the first time, it was sent to our
local city lab, and after 2 weeks the results came back with a high titer,
which panicked me, I stated in the previous post, that I was relieved. NO,
I got worried, that is when I contacted the doctor that was head of Disease
and talked to him in length, he informed me that our town did not have the
proper facilities to test for Toxoplasmosis, and after he had a meeting with
my OB/GYN, they had me come in to have by blood drawn again, and sent away
to the proper facility, and thats when it came back negative.

I still stand on the fact, from learning from this knowledable doctor, that
you will find that most people carrry toxoplasmosis in their system,
everyone with different levels of titer, and the only danger is from
contracting the disease in your first trimester, but he felt that I had
nothing to worry about. But a second blood test would put me at ease.
Normally a preganant woman would not tested, just a cautiion from your
doctor is usually what you will be given in handling feces from a cat.

Thanks,
Marti
