I just received another rescue from a man who was very misled by a PJ'S
Pets clerk.  She told him ferrets are just like cats.  They use a litter
box and just run around the house.  He brought the ferret home, put a
litter box down and let it go.  He had the ferret 3 weeks and was
overwhelmed that it went the bathroom in places other than the box.  He
told me he did not even see it for the first few days.  He felt VERY
mislead and tried to bring him back but was told they could not take
him.  She never even mentioned a cage.  He handed him to me in a white
plastic bucket.
 
I am thrilled to have a "baby" again but I am appalled at the information
they are giving out.
 
If anyone cares to call or write this establishment and express their
desire for staff education it would be great.  I don't know if I can
post their phone number but they are in Saugus, MA.
