Michael,
    Although, as the owner of 2- (both asleep in my lap as I write)
soon-to-be-3 ferrets I wouldn't want to dissuade anyone from getting
another, I have read that ferrets and skunks get along very well.  I've
wanted a skunk since I was a little girl--my cousin in LA had several & I
was so envious.  Last spring a little black and white fuzz ball was caught
in my headlights on a back road, trotting back & forth, trying to figure out
which way mama went and who turned on the lights.  I wanted so much to hop
out & scoop it up--but I hesitated, pndering the ethics of such a move, for
a moment too long & it was gone.
 
    I've enjoyed your epistles a great deal.  Keep us posted on the exciting
life of Tater and the trials of poor MeeMaw.
