People are in a tizzy about the possibility that the local hardware store
is going to stop ordering Stove Chow for the summer. What about trying to
get a local pet store to get some in as litter? I'm sure it would work as
cat litter as well (they use that darn recycled paper for 'em!) and they
could make a killing on it. Try to cut a deal whereby you get the stuff
for $4/bag (as a finder's fee) and he can mark the stuff up to about $8/bay
and it's still dirt cheap as litter.

I'm seriously considering going to the local store and giving this a shot.
The owner (Noah's Ark in Colchester, VT) has been very helpful in getting
whatever we need (he started carrying Totally Ferret at our request) and has
been very supportive in our creation of a ferret club and Halfway House in
this area and I thought it would be good to give him a bit of free of
advertisement (since he offered to use some of his ad space in the local
paper to plug our ferret club) and let other VT fert owners know of a good
place to go.
