Two items that have stood the test of time and multiple ferrets:
a fake grass door mat and a plastic watering can. They love rolling
around on the green grass door mat. They can give themselves a good
general scratching and it's great for those hard to reach places too. I
always keep one in my ferret room on the floor and they use it whenever
they like. They are around $10 at Walmart. And, a green watering can
with the hole on top is just the right size for a ferret or two to
hang out in! Ferrets just like it in there.
