Have just read in the AMC's newsletter that a new blood substitute for dogs
was tested at the AMC and now has FDA approvalfor that use. Have no idea if
Oxyglobin (manufacturer: Biopure) is also under consideration for use in
ferrets and am wondering if any of the vets out there have heard anything in
this regard. If not, I'll have to write to Dr. Ann Hohenaus at the AMC and
ask. The stuff has a two year, room temp shelf life.
