Fur is FLYING! Help!

Hello everyone,
 
My ferret Buddy is losing his fur - he looks like a chemo patient.  The
other ferret is not shedding at all.  Buddy is a year old, the other one is
6 mos.  Is fur-shedding common or do you think he is sick?  He's
acting/eating fine, but he just looks like we should change his name to
Baldy Buddy.
