Hey folks,

Somebody out there had asked about cheap cages. Well, my critter was free
range in the living room until about 4 days ago. He finally figured out how
to escape the baby gates and I came home to an apartment just COVERED in
dirt and a couple of scratched up carpets. I fumed, went out to a local
hardware store and purchased about 80 feet of PVC, a bunch of PVC elbows,
and chicken wire. It took about 30 minutes to rig together a 5 foot by 2.5
foot cage which is 2.5 feet high (leaving room for the second floor when I
get around to it). Today I was in the local fabric store and picked up a
heavy vinyl remanent for under $6 that sits under the new ferret home.
Cost--under $40 with the ability to change configuration and size in no time
flat. Now he gets put in the cage at night and during the day when I'm out.

Hope this helps some of you out there.

Cheers!
Matthew.
