Hello, all! Found that as I was reading today's (yesterday's) list, I
wanted to comment on a few things, so I thought I'd take the time to put
them in one post.

Lydia, I understand your concern for your babies, but if you've not had
any previous reactions, the benefits outweight the risks. I have noticed
that most vaccine reactions seem to occur with distemper vaccines, just my
personal experience. Aside from the law, having a rabies vaccine for your
animals is very important for several reasons. If anyone visiting your
home gets a bite, it could mean the difference between a 10 day quarenteen
and 'off with their heads' literally. Another reason is that because no
matter how careful you are, the slim chance of one of your kids getting
outside exposes them to possible rabies. It is 99.99% fatal, and a
horrible way to die. I'd definitely get them done.

To Betty and her Blur of Fur-- I love the thank yous at the end of your
posts! Makes me count my blessings, as well.

Debbie, you didn't mention if they did a blood sugar test, sounds like
possible insulinoma.

[Moderator's note: Many more posts about the Judge Lane show are towards
the end of this FML. BIG]

Becky, I'm sorry, but you've fallen for exactly what that medium of tv goes
for. *Drama*. I haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting 'that wench from
that selter' yet, but since we live a few hours apart, I suspect it may
happen soon, and I look forward to it. I've heard alot of wonderful things
about Jean Lee Caputo, and her efforts for ferrets and her shelter. Most
of us who have been following this story since before it even got scheduled
for that mockery of a show know that the real issue was the abandonment of
those ferrets by the owner, who 'dropped them off for a few weeks', knowing
full well one of the babies was very sick. (Correct me if I'm wrong,
Jean). She had documents proving that the family had been out of touch for
an extended time. And come on, leave your ferrets at a shelter for months,
expecting *free* sitting services??? Yeah, we all know those shelters have
alot of love and heart in them, but money for surgeries, food, and care is
never abundant, that is the least that women should have paid for. Jean,
kudos to you!

Just wanted to send out thoughts and prayers for all the fuzzies and the
people they own that are going through a rough time right now. Haven't
had time to post individually to many due to illness these last few weeks
(mine, not the fuzzbrats, thank God!)
