I CAN NOT believe how this list has started to turn on people! 1st
several people turned on poor Jean for asking for money to help her
out with her shelter and now I have people attacking me because I
have decided to buy a ferret from a breeder instead of getting
another ferret from the marshall farm cancer mill!!!

To those of you who have responded with you not so kind words,just
to let you know, I HAVE adopted shelter ferrets for 12 years and I
have donated generously every month for the past 15 years to
shelters/rescues in my area and in other areas for ferrets and other
pets with money and supplies and have given my time and convinced my
bosses (who are vets) to take care of alot of poor and sick little
ferrets, for no charge for the shelter owners. I have sat up many
nights taking care of sick and or dying ferrets because they had no one
else to be with them in their last hours. I have suffered as many of
you have through all of my ferrets last hours in this world. I have
been there to help my Dr's educate people on their ferrets and have
helped educate people as to why a ferret may not be the best choice
for them and have encouraged the ones who do want a ferret to try a
shelter 1st before buying on from a pet store.

We all know the pain that comes from losing a beloved pet. I can not
believe how cruel some of you are. How can you say that your tired of
people feeling sorry for themselves. Are you completely heartless? how
can you say that all of us who have lost a pet are being selfish
because we have broken hearts.

There are so many ferrets in the world because of money making
companies such as marshall farms and path valley. If you are so enraged
at the fact that there are so many ferrets out there with out homes
because their people decided to give them up, then what are you doing
to keep these big companies from producing so many of them every year,
what are you doing to educate the people in your area as to why it is
not good to buy a ferret from a store or why a ferret may not be a good
pet for everyone.

It's amazing the type of emails I have been getting. There are alot
of people who are ready to say bad things but are not really doing
anything themselves to help out. (I am not talking about you shelter
owners)

I can not believe that some of you would have the gall to judge someone
else who you know absolutely NOTHING about!

I am not stupid, I know that all ferrets and animal cold get cancer and
I NEVER said that a ferret from a breeder would not get cancer or any
other illness for that matter. I am well aware that there are thousands
of ferrets that need forever homes. There are reputable breeders out
there, not all breeders are evil. In fact there are some shelter owners
who breed a small litter once in awhile and sell the ferrets to fund
their shelters. Are they bad people too??

I used to enjoy reading and participating in the discussions that were
going on in this lists but the constant flaming of people is getting
ridiculous and it is unnecessary.
