Hi, all.

I met a little guy coming across the Bridge. His name was Joey. He
was a little dazed because he came to the Bridge in his sleep during
his final illness, but once I told him what was going on he relaxed
immediately. He said that it felt so good to be healthy again! He did
a little wardance right there on the worn wooden boards! (I've actually
seen that happen a few times, and it's always kind of wonderful!)

While He was doing the Boog-A-Loo right in front of me, I caught a blur
of fur out of the corner of my eye, zooming in on my general direction.
I stepped back a bit and a ferret came bolting from behind me and bounced
right into Joey. The two tumbled and rolled halfway back to the World of
the Living! It was Mittens, Joey's best buddy who has been waiting two
years for his Brother in Fur.

Well, we all three put our wings on and went for a fly. Not to any
particular place, just to soar around because Joey so loved to jump from
high places during his life. He and Mittens and I soared and glided,
spiraled and dove. We punched through clouds and shot ourselves toward
the sun like arrows!

Eventually, of course, this tired us out quite a bit, and you know what
that means...FRUIT BAR!! Gotta put fuel in the tank. There were sliced
cherries and bits of cool, fresh cantaloupe, chewy, moist raisins and
bananna pennies. Mmmmm! We all ate until we wanted to do nothing but
nap, so that's *exactly* what we did. It was wonderful.

Joey said that even though he doesn't really remember crossing the
Bridge, he has a very dim, but warm memory of his Business of Katie,
Lyssa, and Max sniffing him carefully and saying goodbye one last time.
He knows that some day, a long time from now, he will see them again.

I went to check up on a little guy who came here a few months ago. His
name is Bandit. He says that he can't really be comfortable here until
I let his Mommy know that he had a beautiful Bridge crossing. He felt
nothing but love when his sad little body with its' nasty Lymphoma
changed, and he felf his full strength and vigour return.

The pain faded and faded, and now he can talk about it without any
hesitation at all. It's just a memory for him.

It's so good to be here he says-to play again, and make a little trouble
now and then. (Well, maybe a lot of trouble at the red sandstone canyon
full of white rolls of toilet paper. There may be millions of them
there, but Bandit has eternity to shred them...One.At.A.Time!)

Some day, a long time from now, he wants to see his Mommy Natalie try to
fix *that* mess. BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!
