I posted this question of the alt.pets.ferrets newsgroup, only to discover
my internet provider is not doing a very good job and the newsgroups are
about three or four days behind! I posted THERE for a quick response (and
b/c I was sure you guys were tired of seeing my name). Either way, I still
see no responses on the newsgroup and I would really like some suggestions,
so... here's what I posted.

When I got my puppies (about four months ago), I was homeless more or less.
Living partly with my fiance (who had a roommate with a girlfriend who
stayed as often as I did) and partly with one of the bridesmaids. ANYway,
the point is, the ferrets couldn't be let out much b/c the roommate's
girlfriend was scared of them and the roommate didn't want to take off his
socks for them. Applejuice will viciously attach socked feet. Bare feet
are safe. SO... the puppies and the ferrets didn't get to be properly
introduced. Since August (the wedding), the ferrets are out much, much more
often, but we kick the puppies outside for the ferrets safety. I would LIKE
to be able to have everyone inside at the same time. Any suggestions on how
to introduce four hyper ferrets and two more laid back ferrets, to two large
(55 lbs and 80 lbs) rottie-shephard puppies. The pups are eleven months old
and very, VERY puppy-like. They're just huge. If Butch decides to slam a
foot down on a ferret, or Sundance decides to chase one down, the ferrets
don't stand a chance! Is this a hopeless cause? Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated!
