just a few questions from a fairly new ferret owner
 
i was just wondering if any body knew of anywhere to get or a way to make a
ferret carrier.  not like the big plastic boxes with handles but like a
papoose or something of that nature.  for going places to rugged or just to
far to be patiently walking w/ your ferret while he explores.  i would
really like to go on a bike ride with him but i presently have no means of
doing so.  (of course there is also the matter of food water and going to
the bathroom involved in such a journey and in such a carrier).  i have only
seen the carriers that marshalls sells and they look quite big and more
something for just walking.  any advise would be apppreciated
 
also i have a 50 gallon box that currently has sand in it and there is a
tube connecting it to my ferrets cage.  he enjoyed digging in the sand at
the beach so why not make him a little sand box.  unfortunately however he
does not see it as a sand box but instead a deluxe size bathroom and there
is no way to clean the urine sand out without constantly replacing the sand
like litter.  i am currently in the process of getting rid of the sand and
putting something else in it.  he has 2 other boxes conected / in the one is
socks and the other toys.  i dont know what to put in the box instead of
sand, i have considered little woofle balls (kinda like the ball room at
chuckee cheeze) but at 6 for 2$ it gets fairly expensive filling a 50 gallon
box.  we would like any suggestions.
 
is there any product that is for or can be used to clean / whiten ferret
teeth, what is the deal with raw chiken bones?
 
the only other thing is a reocuring problem- litter training he uses 2
corners - one is by the door so i cant put a pan there -i got a j feeder and
put it in the bad corner and put his water there and stuffed a piece of
tubbing in the bad corner
 
when i catch him i put him in his litter pan and when hes done give him lots
of treats
 
when he does use the badd corner i clean it up with bleach water while he
plays outside until the water dries
 
yet he still uses the bad corner.  i think that i have tried about
everything.  any advice would be appreciated

i really have enjoyed reading the forum although i have never written
anybody becuase i dont know a terrible lot to be answering questions.  but
any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated by both me and my ferret
(pharoah is a 4 month old nueterd blaze i think it is difficult to put a
color label on him and he has a white diamond on his back in the middle of a
patch of darker hair.  hes really gotten sobig so fast.  anyway i hope to
see some of you at the ferret-thing going on in wheaton il.  my ferret is
just coming along for the games but my girlfriends is going to being shown.
sorry if this is to long but i couldnt remember how long they could be and i
though that the questions needed some detail to be understood.  thanx
