HI Friends-

I found the most wonderful news out on my last Petco Day - SUNDAY

The ferret tank was still empty- we took the last ferret a biter over a
month ago ( she has a permanent home with a shelter director - yes she
STILL BITES) I inquired as to why the tank was still empty-- the store
asst manager said- we are planning to get chinchillas in instead of
ferrets.

VOILA! I am excited this means no flood of baby ferrets in the backyard
which will need a shelter in a few months-

on the other hand I feel bad for the chinchillas-- they too are a very
high maintenence animal-- the local chinch lady will have her hands
full!


Last week we also received a call form Fitchburg, MA PETCO -- they
wanted to know if ewe had any ferrets we could sell THEM! So they have
none--

Maybe we can hope that they will accept the proposed moratorium on
ferret sales...
