I have been receiving and enjoying the ferret list for a long time.  I have
five ferrets of my own and a skunk, dog and cat.  Recently I got a call from
a vet who had just got a call from someone who could nolonger keep their
ferret (they were expecting a baby) and wanted it put to sleep.  I picked
the little guy up and he was infested with deer ticks (pin sized ticks most
often the ones to pass lymes) I hand picked 30-40 then found a dip resonable
safe for ferrets.  I brought him home and found a happy home for him.  He is
healthy and beautiful now.  Just wanted to let you know, one little guy
found justice in this world.  For those that are curious the skunk and the
ferrets get along great.
