Hi everyone,
My husband recently posted a message about our ferret Tiki who we thought
had a skin infection because he was losing hair and we had him put to sleep
because the vet was sure he has an adrenal problem and we were did not want
to put him through surgery. we let the vet do an autopsy on him and it
turned out that he had three big problems so it was a good idea we did this-

Well to make a long story short we purchased a new ferret (Sammy) and about
a week after we got her the older ferret- herschel came down with a severe
case of diarrhea-we were hopeful that this wasn't anything serious, but
about 1 1/2 weeks later we brought him to the vet and she said that it is
common for new ferrets to bring in viruses with them to which they are
immune, but the older ferrets are suseptible- and so we have had him at the
vets for 3 nights so far on fluids and antibiotics for secondary bacterial
infections- Is anyone familiar with this problem and maybe have some
success stories?? Please write back to me at [log in to unmask] ASAP-
my husband and I miss our furry and Sammy misses her brother!!!

Thanks,
Tammy Green Wrzesinski
