Holiday Safety Tips

Please be very careful this Holiday Season.  Remember, visitors to your
home may not be accustomed to ferrets underfoot.  The chance of escape
or injury dramatically rises with strangers in the house.  It's a good
idea to keep your sock nabbers safely away 'til guests are gone.
 
Twice this season we've read of ferrets being trapped and killed in
dishwashers.  One of the owners emailed NOFA asking us to please warn
owners of the dangers of dishwashers.  They asked us to convey this
message:
 
"To say that we are devastated is an understatement.  PLEASE warn
everyone to do a visual check before turning the infernal contraption
on so that they aren't faced with the heartache that we are.  I will
always blame myself for being negligent and don't wish anyone else this
experience."
 
Our condolences go out to this family and please, learn from this and be
extra careful.
