Livers in general are rather good at getting problems from a range of
things including something eaten that should not have been and viruses,
BUT livers are GREAT at regenerating as long as the source of the
problem is gone and the damage has not become too huge. So, it could
have been that the ferret had an illness caused the problem, but who
knows? Rare complications exist for any med but so do coincidences.
