First of all, I would like to send a BIG THANKS to all of you who sent me
recommendations for Dr. Sharon Lawrenchuk at Westland Veterinary Hospital.
She was great! Simon had surgery 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately the biopsy
concluded that Simon's adrenal gland tumor was malignant, which was rather
upsetting. However, she sucessfully removed the left adrenal gland, and
with any luck removed all the cancer along with the gland.

His recovery seems to be coming along nicely. His excesive urinating has
decreased, and he appears less agressive toward his brother and sister,
however his hair has not yet begun to grow back, and his skin has become
more irritated so much that he scratches himself and leaves scabs on his
unprotected skin due to hair loss. He is on liquid derm caps for his skin
and amoxi antibiotics, and hopefully he will begin to heal and his coat may
return soon.

Keep your fingers crossed, Simon just had his 6th birthday last month, and
I want to keep him around for many more years!

Thanks again!
Darlene Richard
