Hey all,
 
Well ususlly I write with funny silly ferret things, but this time I am in
need of advice.  My Little Boy Elbert.  When I got him he was VERY
malnourished, all skin and bones and very little hair.  Well we FATTENED him
up!  Last week Melissa Litwicki wrote in about her Friday having swolen
lymph nodes and it being cancer.  Well Elbert has huge lymph nodes.  So I
took him in to get biopsyed (sp).  The news was good.  It is just fat
infused into his lymph nodes.  The vet did find a mass cell tumor on his
side and removed that too.
 
Well now to the real problem.  He is not eating very much at all and he is
really tired all the time.  The biopsy happened last Wednesday (4/9).  He
just has not been himself since then.  He is on antibiotics just incase it
is a secondary infection.  I am force feeding him duck soup, he is eating a
very tiny bit on his own.  I can get him to drink out of the "big cup", so
he is fairly hydrated.  His vet is 100% up on what is up with him and we are
in a wait and see mode.  Is there anything more that I should be doing?
anything you have learned in your experience?  Or are we in a wait and see.
Oh yea it does not seem to be a blockage.  his input and output are about
the same - really small.  and the vet said it sounds like his guts are
flowing ok.
 
So I am just wondering what eles I should be doing to make him feel better!
My poor boy.  He is such a lovie kissy lap ferret, I am sad to see him sad.
