To Barb, Kim, Officer Sahaydak, Danee, Dr. Gold and everyone else who
helped in this endeavor, thank you.
 
Thank you not only for rescuing these ferrets and doing your best to find
them loving homes, but also for taking the next VERY difficult step of
making sure the abuser was brought to justice.
 
While many would have liked to see stiffer penalties (up to and including
public stoning!), the fact is that Bachman did NOT just get a slap on the
wrist, as is so often the case in abuse cases like this.  I have no doubt
your persistence and diligence made this happen.
 
In many ways, pursuing this through the legal system can be even harder
and less rewarding than the original rescue.  But you have shown that in
CAN be done, and that is IS necessary.
