Bob Church described a box for digging in when he posted a list of ferret
games a few months ago. I have adopted a real digger, so I made him a box.
He was thrilled. I used 4 lbs of sand, 1 lb potting soil and some leftover
aquarium pebbles in a box. Then I built another large boxed in area around
the smaller box to keep the dirt under control. I opened up two moving
sized boxes at the side seam and put them together as one box. I had to add
a new floor because this leaves an open area. I cut a door halfway up the
side of the box. All nine of the fuzzies are having a blast, and the new
guy has not dug anything else. Perhaps this is worth a try for others with
a digging fuzzy?
