Hi all,
just a short one:
in the May 28 issue of PC-mag an add-on for MS-Access is previewed.  It's
called "Speed Ferret" and it's supposed to do a 'find-and-replace' number on
all sorts of data in a database.
 
Now I'm thrilled that the marketing guys consider our fuzzy's for such an
important role, but I hate to think what a 'real' ferret would do with e.g.
an asset database, if it had the chance:
 
"Dook-dook now lets see, find 'pooters' and replace with..  errr, say boss
what was that again?  Oh yeah, 'PeeCee' ok, I can do that, dook.  So I'll
dig a nice hole in the index here and..  wait, I have to go, dook, (and when
a ferret has to go, it really has to go), where's the corner?  Ok, forget
it, I'll just do it on top off the data, dook.  Right, where was I?
Something with finding 'pooters' somewhere.  Ah, here's one,dook, so I take
'pooter' out of here and...uhhh wait, don't tell me, it'll come back to me.
Ok so I forgot, big deal!  I'll just put 'sock' in this place till I
remember, dook.  Say, this sock's kinda nice 'n soft, just laying my head on
it for a sec wouldn't hurt, this 'find and something' stuff's pretty
exhausting you know, dook.  I'll just be a minute before I find all 'socks'
and...ZZZZZZZZZZ"
 
Thinking off all the happy and hurt fuzzy's and their human adoptees.
