Now that just makes me really, really mad, for several reasons:
 
a) Why did he need a rabies shot?  If an animal is being handled on a
movie set, don't they have handlers who know about the animals being
worked with, INCLUDING VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS?  Didn't they know if
the ferret had been vaccinated or not?  And if not, why not?  That just
show an incredible lack of judgment.
 
b) An animal will never bite for no reason.  Maybe the ferret was sick
of all the people and lights and everything (I know I'd be!) and needed
to express that.  Maybe he was being held uncomfortably.  Or maybe he
just wondered what Ben's chin tasted like.  The way it sounded like he
was carrying on, you think he'd been attacked by a bear!
 
I know I'm preaching to the choir here but just had to get that off my
chest.
