Okay, I know it's the rag weed season in part of the FML's range so a lot of
folks have headaches or worse, but -- Peace on List, folks! There is
nothing wrong with asking questions. Nor is there anything wrong with civil
answers; those are wonderful, of course, because we all learn from them.
There's no call, however, to worry a topic or (worse) a poster like a
terrier with a dish towel, especially when it has been pointed out that the
comment being attacked was in quotes, denoting that the poster herself held
it in question. Some very good people who have done more for ferrets
through the years than many scores of others combined have done have sadly
met with nasty results when this sort of thing got spiraling. The FML has
been too big for many years for any of us to know more than a few people
here well; that makes it easier to misunderstand what another poster may
mean. Give the benefit of the doubt, please! You will need someone to
provde that curtesy for you some time, too!

When ferret proofing don't forget fire safety! Don't block air vents which
appliances need to not overheat and don't use flammable objects in any areas
where they might result in fire! Your local fire departments or fire
inspectors will have pamphlets with more precautions. The family you save
will be your own.
