Lise asks about using alfafa rabbit pellets for litter.

There used to be a cat litter called Kitty Green (or something like that)
that was made from alfafa and oat hulls. I really liked it and used it way
back when I only had one ferret. But I haven't seen it for years. I've
also used rabbit food (alfafa pellets) a few times before settling on wood
stove pellets, by far the cheapest way to go.

But I had no problems with the rabbit stuff, and I think it makes a nice
pleasant smelling litter.
