Bill and Diane Killian-
     I hate to be nitpicky, but as a carnivore specialist, I have to object to
the assertion that hyaenas are canids.  They are actually in the family
Hyaenidae of the infraorder Feloidea, and therefore more closely related to
mongooses and cats then wolves.  Hyaenas are another one of those poor
misunderstood animals that always get a bad rap in the media!
