EUTHANIZED Ferret - nearby county in North Carolina on Oct. 15th. Ferret
(stray who had bitten someone) had been at animal control/shelter for ONE
day, no quarantine, no opportunity for AC or local ferret club to locate
owner. NC State Public Health Vet Dr. Lee Hunter is still standing by his
policy of euthanizing ferrets due to the lack of proof regarding rabies
shedding.

What if this was your lost ferret?

ANOTHER reason why...If every ferret owner contributed just a dollar for the
rabies shed study, we would have six million dollars and a proven quarantine
period for our ferrets. Please help speed up this study by sending $ to:
Morris Animal Foundation/Ferret Shed Study, 45 Inverness Drive East,
Englewood, Colorado 80112- 5480. This is tax deductible. The completed
study will SAVE your ferrets' life, and you, heartache.

SUGGESTION: Instead of Christmas & Hanukkah gift exchanges with your family
and friends this year - ask & send "$ gifts" to Morris Animal Foundation in
your ferrets' name(s).
