Once again, I am posting the following message on behalf of Nanci Frazier
at Motor City Ferrets.  The first message below appeared on the FML
several days ago.  Here was Nanci's reply.

I am sure Kim from K'zoo has already called Nancy and let her know that I
did contact her earlier this week.  We received a call from Lisa asking
if it was ok if she gave Kim my name and number, and of coarse I said
yes.  When I didn't hear from Kim, I called her.  She was very glad to
hear from me and to hear that the boys were doing well.  I didn't realize
what was going on with the boys until we got home on Sat.  and I read
the FML.  The money was not important, the only important thing was that
these boys get a forever home.  They are doing really well, running
around the house like they have lived here forever and my other ferrets
seem to get along quite well with them.  Kim was wonderful, she was just
happy to know how well they were doing.  She now has my name, number and
e-mail address so she can contact me at anytime and check on the boys.
 
I know that things were a little screwed up, the way all of this
happened, and Lord knows that I didn't want anyone to worry about these
boys but in the end it all worked out.

indeed kim did mention she heard from you.  lisa didn't call kim back to
give her your information, so she was delighted to receive your call.
clearly you're a responsible ferret owner who's even adopted from a
michigan shelter before i hear!  certainly the boys finding a happy new
home is no problem at all; the only problem in this situation was lisa's
behavior.  frankly, she went through far more trouble than she needed
to, which is the confusing part! :)  now you're in kim's database so, if
nothing else, we can invite you to our annual gathering to meet other
michigan ferret friends next year (just had our 2002 get together in
september).
 
thank you so much for letting kim know that the boys are in good hands.
it's so nervewracking having to let critters go anywhere, but of course
we must.  i know you've set kim's mind at ease that this pair of her
babies are going to have a good life in a happy home.
