Hi all,
just thought it would be of interest, both Silk and Weehawk had a terrible
reaction to the FervacD for Distemper last month, so with great trepidation
we went in for the Rabies vaccine on Monday. Well, they had no reaction
besides the skin turning pink where the injection went in, and have still
not had any reactions, so I think we made it safely through that hurdle :)
We did pretreat with Benedryl an hour before, and waited at the vets for 1/2
hr. but both came through with flying colors, and enjoyed wandering around
the lobby and of course taking a dump in every corner I had not placed a
litter box in! To reward them for being so good I got them a new toy, a
stuffed satin star with a bell and streamers hooked to it, and well, I
caused great consternation, cause silk wants it in her hidey hole, and of
course weehawk thinks it should live in his :) So they spent all afternoon
after the shot dragging the star from under the desk to under the bed and
back again, silly ferrets! :)~

Happy dooking to all!
krystal in vermont with silk the arboreal teleporting wonder (and yes
she does indeed have white feet!), and weehawk the soon to be not so
bald! (is finally growing hair after 6 mos. of bald belly :))
