I just read your post about trying to find something else to occupy your
babies time. My little girl was Adrenal too, after surgery failed I put
her on Lupron. This helped for a year and a half, her symptoms subsided,
but her vulva didn't go down completely (not unusual). I did have to
stay on top of keeping her clean, the last thing we wanted was an
infection.

I went to Wal-Mart and bought a transparent/translucent Rubbermaid
storage bin ($5) tall enough for her to jump around in, then off to the
bulk food store to buy rice (NOT INSTANT or MINUTE rice, if it is
ingested, I'm told it can swell and cause blockage). I've heard it's
even cheaper if you can find an Asian food store that sells it in bulk,
but I spent 49 cents/lb.

I cut two 4" diameter holes in the lid and she could go in and out with
minimal rice getting all over the place.

As for the carpet, it has been my experience that once they have
discovered something, it's really hard to get them to stop. There is
carpet protector that you can buy. It is usually clear plastic with
little prongs(like a floor mat for your car) on the underside. It comes
in different length rolls and is about 2 1/2 -3 feet wide, I think people
usually put them down in a carpeted hallway. I had another little girl
that liked to dig at the carpet by the door and I used this plastic, cut
it to fit the door and when she went at it to start digging, she realized
that she wasn't getting anywhere and eventually went on to something
else.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,
Justine
