my SO and i do this more so that we can give them more treats in a day
;), but it does turn out to be a money saver.
 
when we buy a new package of treats (the 8-1 chicken treats, sometimes
the banana raisin kind) we break the treats up in half.  if corey is
feeling especially industrious, he'll break them up into smaller pieces.
we still leave some whole sized treates in there, but then at least we
have small treats for smaller victories.
 
although if anyone's got a homemade treat recipe out there, i'd like to
see it.  :)
